"The only kinds of fights worth fighting are those you are going to lose, because somebody has to fight them and lose and lose and lose until someday, somebody who believes as you do wins.
In order for somebody to win an important, major fight 100 years hence, a lot of other people have got to be willing -- for the sheer fun and joy of it -- to go right ahead and fight, knowing you're going to lose. You mustn't feel like a martyr. You've got to enjoy it."
-- I.F. Stone
"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."
-William Jennings Bryan

| Who’s Out There? Touring the blogs this Tuesday | Aug 29, 2006 |
| Nanette |
Much of the talk, on the US blogs, is of course about the Katrina anniversary. Shakespeare’s Sister is gathering a blogswarm, adding links to blogs who are posting about Katrina - if you have something up, email her and ask to be added to the list!
Heart, at Woman’s Space/The Margins, has recently returned from the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival with some amazing photos and memories.
marisacat doesn’t seem like much of a joiner so I doubt you’ll find her listed in the Katrina blogswarms, but she is definitely well worth reading. Her style is a bit different and may take a minute or two to get used to, but once you do you realize how excellently presented it is, sort of like a conversation with one thing building upon or supporting the other. Popcorn and Opera Glasses. Antebellum combines last years thoughts on some events related to Katrina, with updates of current goings on. A good read.
I’ll probably update this post through the day, as I find things of interest on various blogs or sites.
