| The World Is A Little Less Racist Today | Jul 04, 2008 |
| Doc Logan |
“To rob the Negro of his reputation of thinking through a problem in his own fashion is about the same as trying to pretend that he doesn’t have a natural instinct for rhythm and for singing and dancing.”
The vile and disgusting bigot who wrote that is dead. And I am not in the least bit sorry to hear it.
FAIR documents some of Helms’ most racist statements. Don’t click the link if you have high blood pressure and even a fragment of human decency.
The comedian George Wallace did a routine about certain phrases that irked him. One was “untimely death”. He said “I wanna hear something on the news like, ‘Senator Jesse Helms died today, and it’s about doggone time!’”.
Long past time, if you ask me.

Yep. I still don’t rejoice at anyone’s death, but man… that nasty old bigot did great, and far reaching, harm throughout his life.
Kinda fitting that he died on independence day, too.
