I think the Democratic Party would do well to adopt a 49 state strategy, as Georgia may be a hopelessly lost cause. Not only did they defy the national trend towards more progressive politics, they ignored the most unbelievably creepy campaign video ever made. Oh man, I saw that video. I think he just wasn’t thinking and probably didn’t realize how much she’d grown and all that, but I can’t believe someone on his staff didn’t see how weird it looks and cut or re-shoot that part.
Add Oklahoma to the “lost cause” category… apparently that’s the only state where McCain won *every* county.
