ERSATZ, OHIO: Over a hundred people narrowly escaped with their lives following a tragic explosion at an irony meter factory. “It was horrible.” said plant manager Phil Apocryphal. “Every meter in the place spontaneously blew up. Even the unassembled parts exploded.” Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident, but experts suspect the publication of this post by Mark Noonan, on the now ironically named “Blogs for Victory”. Noonan wrote “The people who are so enthused about Obama are starting to disgust me. Never in my life did I ever think I’d see some of my fellow Americans acting so servile to a politician.” Anyone holding a still-intact irony meter is advised to move it away from their homes, in the event Mr. Noonan writes something equally risible.

It did occur to me, that with these people now in the media saying America isn’t racist as it elected Obama, they never point out by the same logic Americans must be a bunch of sexist bastards for rejecting Hillary and not voting for Palin.

Oh, there are plenty that try and make that point, mostly concerning Clinton though (Palin is a whole ‘nother story). Also, considering that Obama has been getting more threats (racist and otherwise) than any other president elect, the massive increase in hate group memberships and the incidents of violence against just general non-white people across the country (out of anger about Obama, as stated in some cases) - I think some will have to rethink that whole “the US isn’t as racist” bit. Ha, ha, no kidding. Considering they are the ones who want to put Reagangod’s picture on everything nailed down (and probably on a few rolling or flying things as well), irony meters are indeed in danger.
Also, I now have figured out how to have all posts on the blog go directly to the front page (for now, until I start getting more caught up with the other stuff) so hopefully things will get noticed better.
