As you may have read, Iraq war cheerleader, race baiter, and ethanol consumer Christopher Hitchens underwent waterboarding recently, and determined that, holy crap, it is torture after all! Who would have guessed that being held upside down while strapped to a board, blindfolded, with water poured over the hood on your head preventing you from breathing was torture! Coulda knocked me over with a freakin’ feather, you could have.

Well, seems Hitchens’ brush with inhuman treatment reminded him of a true connoisseur of the practice, trash heap wrapped in sickly, pasty flesh, Jesse Helms.

If it means a continued turn towards sanity for Mr. Hitchens, I’ll volunteer to affix the electrodes to his unmentionables and crank the field generator myself.
